Brush light-tinted oil-based stain on the trim of a synthetic brush. Wipe the excess stain immediately with a lint-free cloth for a brighter effect, or let the stain remained for about five minutes before wiping off the excess for a darker effect. Allow a 12-hour drying time.
Brush a layer gloss, semi-gloss or satin non-yellowing polyurethane trim with a synthetic brush. Let dry for 12 hours or overnight. Apply another coat of polyurethane to the exterior wood siding panels with synthetic bristles. Sand wood trim with 150-grit sandpaper. Dry with a lint-free cloth.
